Oral Surgery

When it has been determined that a tooth is no longer able to be saved, an extraction is necessary. Dr. Schulhof will anesthetize the area of the tooth and gently lift the tooth out. Sometimes stiches are placed which will either resorb or need to be removed at a follow up appointment. Othere reasons for an extraction of a tooth is a deep fracture, or crack. There are many options to replace the missing area after the tooth is missing, and Dr. Schulhof can inform you of them.
